Minidols Privacy Policy

A music-learning game for children, made by Eshy Gazit LLC.

What the app is

Minidols is a K-pop themed music-learning game for young children (roughly ages 4 to 9). Kids explore rooms for Drums, Melody (piano and guitar), Bass, and Chords, sing in the Vocal Room (on devices with a microphone), build loops in the Boom Box, make their own grooves in the Studio, watch animated music shows, and perform in a Debut Showcase. A narrated coach voice guides each step. The full app is bundled inside the download and works with no internet connection.

Data we do NOT collect

• No name, email, phone number, or address (nothing is sent off the device).
• No location data of any kind.
• No advertising identifiers, device identifiers, or cookies for tracking.
• No analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or crash reporting.
• No contacts, no photos, and no camera access.
• No microphone recordings. The Vocal Room listens to the pitch of your child's voice only while a singing lesson is open, processes it on the device in real time, and never records, saves, buffers, or transmits any audio.
• No account, login, or sign-up information (there is no account system).
• No behavioral profiles, and nothing is used for advertising.

What is stored on your device

To remember progress between sessions, the app saves a small amount of information in your device's local browser storage (localStorage). This stays on the device and is never transmitted:

• Progress such as stars earned and which levels are complete.
• The band name your child chooses.
• A first name or nickname your child picks, stored only on the device so the coach can greet them. This is never sent anywhere and is not linked to any account.
• Audio your child creates (Boom Box loops and Studio grooves), which is generated and stored on the device only and never leaves it.

You can erase all of this at any time by using the in-app Start Over option or by uninstalling the app.

The microphone and the Vocal Room

Minidols includes an optional Vocal Room where your child sings, and the game responds to the pitch of their voice. We designed this so that privacy is built into how it works, not just promised:

• On-device only. All voice analysis runs inside the browser's audio engine on your device, in real time. The microphone signal is used to estimate one thing — the musical note being sung — and nothing else.
• Never recorded or stored. No audio is written to a file, saved to storage, or kept in a buffer beyond the tiny moving window needed to measure the current pitch. When that window moves on, the samples are gone.
• Never transmitted. No audio, and no data derived from audio, is ever sent off the device. The app makes no network calls, so there is nowhere for it to go.
• Permission behind a parental gate. The first time, before the microphone is ever requested, the app shows a grown-ups-only screen that explains what happens and asks an adult to confirm. Your child also grants the standard system microphone permission.
• Clearly indicated. A visible "mic on" indicator is shown the whole time the microphone is active.
• Turned off immediately. The microphone is released (its audio track is stopped) the moment the singing lesson ends, you leave the room, or the app goes to the background.
• Optional and self-contained. The Vocal Room only appears on devices that have a usable microphone. Every other part of the app works with no microphone at all.

No network activity

The app does not connect to the internet during normal play. There are no external links a child can reach, no social features, no chat, and no way for your child to contact or be contacted by other people through the app.

Purchases and the parental gate

The app is free to download. Everything can be unlocked with a single one-time purchase ("Unlock Everything," $2.99). The purchase is handled entirely by the platform store's own billing (Apple, Google, or Amazon). We never see or store payment details. Before the store purchase screen can appear, the app shows an adult-only parental gate (a challenge intended for grown-ups), consistent with children's privacy rules. Any billing information is handled by the store under its own privacy policy.

Made for children and built to comply

Minidols is directed to children. It is designed to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families policy, and Apple's Kids Category requirements. Because the app collects no personal data and makes no network calls, there is no data to sell, share, or disclose to third parties.

How this applies across platforms

This policy applies to Minidols on Apple iOS/iPadOS, Google Android, and Amazon Fire tablets. The privacy behavior is the same on every platform: no data collection, no tracking, no ads, on-device storage only. Purchases on each platform are processed by that platform's store.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects no data, changes will generally reflect wording or new platform details rather than new data practices.
